The “Geothermal: From the Ground Up” 2012 Iowa Geothermal Conference is sponsored by the Iowa Geothermal Association (IGA), a not-for-profit Iowa corporation. The purpose of the 2012 Iowa Geothermal Conference is to update attendees on new geothermal technologies and educate them on the efficiencies, feasibility and practicality of installing ground source heat pump systems installations in both new and retrofit residential and commercial climate control installations.

The annual conference has developed a reputation within the geothermal industry as one of the premier educational and networking opportunities for industry manufactures dealers and installation personnel.  The focus of the conference is to educate homeowners, architects, builders, drillers and other industry professionals interested in the HVAC industry on how ground source heat pumps provide extremely efficient, reliable, energy saving heating and cooling to both commercial and residential consumers while at the same time delivering a significantly reduced carbon footprint, renewable energy by using the earth's constant ground temperature.

The 2012 Iowa Geothermal Conference workshops have been developed to educate industry professionals, who may or may not currently be involved in geothermal systems, on the proper design, proper installation and other technologies needed to install efficient, trouble free geothermal heating and cooling systems.
